This seems to be turning into a blog about freelance writing. That’s OK; maybe it’ll help others out there.
This morning I discovered that my website is #1 on Yahoo for ‘SEO Copywriter.’ This is my main search term. I still need to acquire some more links before Google gives me this honor, but I’m rising fast.
In case you wonder what I’m ranting on about, search engine positioning is critical for any online busines, freelance writing not excepted. If you do well in a search, more people will come enquiring about your services; it’s that simple. So no matter what your freelance writing niche is, you owe it to yourself to learn at least the basics about SEO. It could mean the difference between success and failure in this highly competitive business.
